Anarchist Soccer for the Very Young! - send a-kids soccer an email if you are interested

When: 2pm / every last sunday, more often if the turnout is good.

Note: March A-kids soccer conflicts with the in Lytton Springs and may take place out there. Check back or contact us for more info.

Where: Rosewood Park in East Austin / map

Kids of all ages and abilities (we've got an age range of 3-10 so far) are invited to come and play at the edge of the grown-up field. Katie Jo (who happens to be a real live kid's soccer coach) will have some drills prepared, and we'll see if the kids are up for a game of their own while parents and friends play along with them or cheer from the sidelines.

How you can help:

• spread the word and bring out the young ones (yours, a friends or neighbors, whatever)
• assist katie jo by being another helpful adult on the kid field, or taking over for her sometimes so she gets a chance to play with the grown-ups.
• help play with the really little ones who may have a shorter soccer attention span.
• bring some kid-friendly snacks for a post game snack potluck.
• we'll need kid size goals or at least 4 extra cones. let us know if you can find or build something that would work.

Long term ideas:

• lets find some out of town kids to play with us at soccer without borders!
• other kid activities in case they don't want to play soccer for as long as we want to hang out. i might put together a little yoga class, maybe some outdoor crafty activities.
